Cespedes will make $25 million per year but has an opt-out after the first year of the contract.

In 575 career games, Cespedes has a. 271 batting average with 106 home runs and 367 RBIs.
The two-time Home Run Derby champion will return to the Big Apple, where he played a large part in carrying the Mets to last year’s World Series.
The deal works for the Mets because they can pay Cespedes during his prime while the young pitching staff remains cheap.
There was a time Thursday when it appeared as if Cespedes were headed to the division-rival Washington Nationals, who reportedly offered him a five-year deal.
