Investigating agencies are trying to ascertain the level of their involvement and subsequently a decision will be made whether to arrest them or not, sources said.
Some of the youths are stated to be software engineers.
“I have been informed that NIA and State Police have arrested six suspected terrorists in the state”.

Highly placed sources said that, of the five, Mubbadir Sheikh was the self-styled leader of a group called Janood-ul-Khalifa-e-Hind, that had drafted its ideologies on the pattern of the IS. The premier terror agency also picked up four terror suspects from Telangana capital of Hyderabad; the state police were working on the leads given by the intelligence department.
Four more youths were picked up from Karnatana – two from Jakkasandra, Bengaluru, and one each from Mangaluru and Tumakuru.
Of the 14 who were detained in various parts of the country, five have been formally arrested, the ministry official said at a press conference here.
Sheikh had designated himself as “Ameer” (Chief) of the group and Huda as “Ameer-e-Wyulat” (finance) and they were in touch on Internet with some persons believed to be from ISIS based in Syria, the sources said.
A man with suspected links to terror outfits has been arrested from adjoining Thane district.
