The Ottawa Senators could use a big win after losing six of their last eight games.
Senators goalkeeper Craig Anderson made 30 saves and picked up his 200th career win.
Perron, who was acquired in a Friday trade to add skill to the group, was impressed with how the team seems to have come back from the depths of their early season slump.
“It’s a huge win, especially this time of year”, Cameron said. These were only initial lineups, however, and it felt like we saw just about every combination before the closing horn.
Anderson kept the game within distance.
“It was a good bounce back game for us”, Toffoli said.
LA Kings center Anze Kopitar talks about his phenomenal performance in the Kings 4-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night.
“The extension is not going to change my mindset”, Kopitar said. Ultimately, though, there was a will on both sides – by the team and player – to get a deal done.

Toffoli was awarded the try as a result of being fouled from behind by Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson, but his backhand attempt was poke-checked away.
Carter scored his 100th goal for the Kings in the first period, and Lecavalier scored on a loose puck in the second. Ducks D Cam Fowler skated Saturday for the first time since spraining his right knee December 27 against the Philadelphia Flyers. And goalkeeper Jonathan Quick’s point streak looked secure in the third period, when Los Angeles led Ottawa by two goals.
Jeff Carter, Tyler Toffoli and Vincent Lecavalier scoored for the Kings. Ottawa reassigned G Chris Drieger to Binghamton (AHL) on Thursday….
Following the game, Kopitar spoke to the local media about the new deal.
After days of rumors and speculation, the Los Angeles Kings have finally agreed to a new eight-year contract extension with star forward Anze Kopitar.
Kopitar’s agent on Saturday confirmed the terms of the contract, which makes the 28-year-old Slovenian star one of the NHL’s highest-paid players. Los Angeles scratched D Christian Ehrhoff and C Nick Shore….
