Trump knocks Bush for turning to ‘mommy’
The United States needs to restore its relationship with Israel to confront the challenges she faces from terrorist attacks to the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran, Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush said on Thursday.
Turning to the family matriarch signals just how much Bush is now fighting for his political life.
In 2013, she told NBC’s Matt Lauer: “There are other people out there that are very qualified and we’ve had enough Bushes”.
“Having gone through what he did, most of his tenure as president was defined in a lot of ways by what was going on in the Middle East”, Jeb Bush told the AP. Bush also reminded voters of Trump’s remarks about women and immigrants.
Barbara Bush is frequently humorously mentioned in her son’s speeches on the campaign trail, and the two former Bush presidents have also appeared at fund-raisers and donation solicitations.
Jeb Bush commended his brother’s approach to other major foreign policy issues, particularly engagement with China, his efforts to fight AIDS in Africa and his ability to maintain close ties to Israel, a relationship he said the Obama administration has left to sour. I’d like to see the campaign actually unleash her on Trump.

The comment came as Bush answered yet another question from voters about his family – calling it a “typical process question” – while saying: “I’m a 62-year-old man that has a life experience, people are going to vote for me”.
The Republican presidential candidate, after his town hall at a Timberland headquarters here in Stratham, New Hampshire, made a decision to do a little shopping.
“George W. did the same thing”.
“I’m sure my brother is going to be campaigning by my side”, Bush said at Hampton Academy in Hampton, New Hampshire. “You know why? Because I am working my – you know what – off”.
