Zlatan Ibrahimovic Declares He’s Staying With PSG This Season
In his 2013 autobiography, “I Am Zlatan”, Ibrahimovic described Van Gaal as “a pompous ass” who “wanted to be a dictator”.
A video has shown an unhappy Ronaldo appearing disgruntled with manager Rafa Benitez in pre-season training, while the agent of Iker Casillas has questioned the player’s media arrangements and believes the 30-year-old is planning to leave the club.
Sky Sports News claim that Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the Swedish global and it’s led to bookmakers slashing their odds on Ibrahimovic making the move to Old Trafford.
“He is professional and I’m professional. My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola,”.
With van Gaal’s preference for playing two strikers, Rooney and Ibrahimovic could prove the ideal foils for one another and forge the attacking partnership that was missing from the side last season.
“The way he works is not the way I work”, Ibrahimovic said.
“And I think a lot of fights would happen, but that’s something I like”.
He however conceded that it might not prevent a possible move to Old Trafford.
Sportsmediaset claim the 33-year-old is open to leaving PSG and has become a target for United as Van Gaal looks to fill the gaps left by the departures of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao this summer. Since arriving from AC Milan, Ibra and PSG have won three titles in a row and could pursue his future elsewhere.
But apparently they haven’t been able to tempt Ibrahimovic.
