Jimmy Fallon’s Frequent Accidents & Drinking Rumors Addressed By NBC Executive
The “Tonight Show” host, 41, injured himself in three separate falls over five months past year, the most serious, in June of 2015, requiring delicate hand surgery after he caught his ring finger on a countertop.
Jimmy Fallon does not have a drinking problem, says an NBC executive.
But he said the Tonight Show host ‘doesn’t have a drinking problem that any of us know about’. He goes out and he has fun and he’s had some accidents.
Greenblatt noted that commercial breaks were longer on The Wiz, “because we had bigger overall corporate sponsors on the previous two musicals, which we didn’t have on The Wiz”. But it’s been a case diminishing returns: She earned an Oscar nom for Chicago, but was a weak link in The Wiz, and we frankly forgot that she was in Hairspray at all until we started writing this.
Despite Best Night Ever’s quick demise and Undateable’s ratings woes, Greenblatt and Salke are still heavily committed to live programming – when it makes sense. “I can’t get any traction with (live dramas)”, Greenblatt said.

He added that “Hairspray” is a musical that “seems really fun, and I think it will be really great live”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
NBC also said it had renewed “Late Night with Seth Meyers” through February 2021.
“I’m thrilled about our diversity throughout the whole network”, Greenblatt said.
“We have dream casting, but it’s too early,”Greenblatt told Us Weekly”.
Greenblatt also had a playful response to CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller’s comment at TCA yesterday, “I’m just a gay guy from IN who doesn’t play basketball”.
