Fire erupts at swimming pool of hotel on Las Vegas Strip

Images showed large flames and plumes of black smoke billowing into the air at the popular Vegas destination, located at 3708 Las Vegas Blvd.
Firefighters are battling a raging blaze at The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas.
The fire was reported about 12:15 p.m.
According to the Clark County Fire Department, trees and pool cabanas surrounding the pool at the Cosmopolitan were on fire. The Clark County Fire Department tweeted it was fighting a second-alarm fire at the hotel’s address.
Heavy smoke was visible to people walking along the Strip.
