Tina Fey revives Sarah Palin impression for ‘Saturday Night Live’
Comedian Tina Fey reprised her role as Sarah Palin for the opening skit on last night’s Saturday Night Live (January 23), in a parody of Palin’s endorsement of Donald Trump as Republican Presidential candidate.
“I’m here because we Americans are struggling”, said Fey’s Palin. “It’s like her mouth starts driving before her brain gets in the auto”, Hammond said.
Hammond’s Trump interrupted her at every turn, getting increasingly concerned as her speech unraveled. Had to be, right?
Be sure to stay for the end of the sketch, when SNL’s Palin reveals why she’s really endorsing Trump. And on that other point, if conservatism is to persuade new people, I think she’s a irrelevant, quite frankly, now.
“She’s fun. She just says whatever she wants”. “And God bless some of the United States of America”.
Another Twitter user who says he was in Track Palin’s barracks tweeted that it was wrong of Sarah Palin to portray her son as a victim. You farm families, and teachers, and teamsters, and cops, and cooks. Just the total package? “I hope Trump picks her as his VP so this one can go far, but I’m scared sh-less for this nation if they actually win the White House”. Now she also can add SNL host to her accomplishments.
So few celebrity impressions on the show have ever been quite as spot-on, so much so that comedy fans are starting to be happy anytime Sarah Palin makes a big public appearance.
Fey’s recurring portrayal of Palin became wildly popular during the 2008 election. “She’s insane, isn’t she?” As the Inquisitr previously reported, Sarah Palin believes that Fox News fired her because she expressed her support for a few of her fellow former TLC reality show stars, Jill and Jessa Duggar.
