Apple may launch ‘improved’ version of iPhone 5S in March
The design of the iPhone 5 too is attractive (although a little boxy) and if Apple is using the same design, that will to many. If those sources know what they’re talking about, the iPhone 5se will have a similar design to the iPhone 5s, but instead of chamfered edges, it will have curved glass similar to the current models. As per the statement from the company, once the iPhone 5SE will be release, SE means “Special Edition”, it will stop selling the iPhone 5S, which went upon sale in 2013.
But while people close to the matter hinted that the new model could be either called iPhone 6c or even iPhone 7c, a new report coming from 9to5mac claims that the device will actually launch as iPhone 5se.
According to those sources, the so-called “iPhone 5SE” will look and act a lot like a downsized iPhone 6.
What do you think about the idea of an iPhone that combines the best features of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6?
Earlier reports from Chinese tech blog MyDrivers had claimed that Apple will launch a 4-inch iPhone 6c, which will have exactly the same resolution and size as iPhone 5s. Talking about the camera, the sensors and the hardware will be able to deliver larger panoramas and autofocus for video recording as well. It will also support Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC (which is an indication that it will have automatic support for the Apple Pay). So, the new phone will still pack the same punch as its iPhone 6S model counterparts, simply in a smaller package. The new iPhone 5SE will be an upgraded version of iPhone 5S and will be available in rose gold color. However, at the march event, Apple will be adding some newer accessories like bands with new colours and new texture options.
A report on TechCrunch said that the Apple Watch in March could come with a new FaceTime camera as a hardware addition. Other than that, the company will also launch the Apple Watch 2 with major improvements later in 2016. With the update now in beta, 9to5Mac reports Apple is working on adding a Nearby search and quick navigation shortcut features.
Powering it all will be an Apple A8 chipset with the M8 co-processor that will also come from the iPhone 6 models. Apple has not officially announced the device yet, but it is said the company will do so during an event that will be held in March.
