State of Wisconsin asks judge to deny Steven Avery’s appeal
The series tells the story of native Steven Avery and his multiple convictions.
Other theories say Avery was framed because his property had value, was the target of a secret sex club or that Halbach may have had knowledge about a drug operation.
What’s more, prosecuting attorney Ken Kratz has been making the rounds on the media circuit, with the latest news indicating that Kratz – who recently said that his legal business is drying up – is planning to write a book “because the one voice forgotten to this point is Teresa Halbach”.
“I’ve never heard that explanation given before”, Buting said.
“Kate Scarratt, fourth year global relations major said, “[it] has affected [my] view of the criminal justice system and how it seems like it is easily influenced, especially when there is no unbiased oversight”.
In laying out the case for Avery’s guilt, Abrams offers his take on the puncture hole in the vial containing Avery’s blood, a sign the evidence had been tampered with and Avery had been framed, according to the case presented by his defence team, Dean Strang and Jerry Buting. Wisconsin Assistant Attorney General Thomas Fallon has issued a letter to Sheboygan County Circuit Judge Angela Sutkiewicz that says in part, “substantial reasons exist for this court to deny Avery’s motion”.
“How much money Jodi get to talk bad”, he writes, alleging that the state paid her to change her story.
Two years after his exoneration and release, Avery sued the Manitowoc County sheriffs department for $36 million over his false imprisonment.
He responds to Jodi’s accusation.
He also said that there was a “catch-22” with a defendant taking the stand that “people might think, “oh why should we believe him, he’s got everything at stake, he’s got motivation to lie”.
Avery ends the letter to FOX6 News writing: “I am really innocent of this case, and that is the truth”. The truth is we set out to examine something and ask questions.

Avery’s new lawyer Kathleen Zellner actually worked on a case where the alleged murderer was actually set up by Cameron. “Surely. But that does not mean we can or should ignore the actual (as opposed to figmental) evidence against Steven Avery”.
The debate still continues regarding Avery’s role in the case and his innocence. In his letter to WISN 12, Avery stressed his innocence.
