Manchester United unveil Schweinsteiger at Old Trafford
Manchester United has announced that Bastian Schweinsteiger has completed his transfer from Bayern Munich on a three-year contract.
Schweinsteiger has worked with the United boss previously during his time at Bayern Munich but says the allure of the club enticed him to Old Trafford.
Schweinsteiger made his Bayern debut in 2002 and appeared 536 times for the club.
“The chance to be part of this squad to help this great club be successful was too good to miss”.
Manchester United new signing Morgan Schneiderlin has revealed that he couldn’t refuse the Red Devils after he found out they were interested in his services.
“I’m excited to be starting that journey on our trip to the USA”.
The German midfielder, who was limited to just 15 Bundesliga starts last season, said that he has been “feeling great” and insisted he was over his injury problems believing the Red Devils are capable of winning a title next season. “I think it’s a great challenge and I’m looking forward to it, although I will never forget you”, he said, via the Daily Mail Online. But it is beyond doubt that Manchester United have the ambition ad resources needed to land the coveted striker should the opportunity present itself.
The pair took part in a light training session with their new team-mates across the pond, as they look to get in tip-top shape ahead of the new campaign.
Since the beginning of the transfer window, rumors have been circulating about the talented German midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger moving to various different European clubs.
Some reports over the weekend suggested United’s interest in Schneiderlin would cool on the back of the impending arrival of World Cup victor Schweinsteiger, but on Saturday afternoon Sky sources reported the Southampton player remained firmly on manager Louis van Gaal’s radar. It turns out that signing Bastian Schweinsteiger, didn’t automatically rule out signing Schneiderlin as well; which many had thought.
With Morgan Schneiderlin set to follow, Manchester United are on the verge of possessing the most periphrastic, pleonastic, sesquipedalian midfield pairing in all of Christendom.
