Jacob Tremblay wins ‘most adorable’ with cute speech at Critic’s Choice Awards
And award for cutest acceptance speech ever goes to… Another favorite, “Mad Max: Fury Road” took home 9 awards, including Best Director for George Miller, best Action Movie, as well as acting honors for the action movie categories for the parts played by Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.
Spotlight, about Boston Globe reporters uncovering a Catholic Archdiocese child molestation scandal, won Best Picture while Miller’s directing win helps his Oscar chances against Inarritu. Leonardo DiCaprio won best actor for “The Revenant”, and Brie Larson kept her winning streak going with best actress in “Room”.
“Spotlight” and “The Big Short” were the next titles to dominate the winners list with three gongs apiece. Its other wins in the comedy division included lead actor (Christian Bale) and adapted screenplay (Charles Randolph and Adam McKay). His recent success though made his fans think that this could be his year to win the Best Actor Award in the upcoming February-slated Oscars.

“Room” is nominated for four Critics Choice Awards and four Academy Awards this year. There were a ton of categories presented, either during the show or during commercial breaks, but the evening, which was hosted by Silicon Valley’s T.J.
Jacob Tremblay just stole the show at the Critic’s Choice Awards… all because he couldn’t reach the mic.
Tom Hooper’s “The Danish Girl” starring last year’s Oscar laureate Eddie Redmayne earned Swedish actress Alicia Vikander the Best Supporting Actress award.
“The Hateful Eight” and “Furious 7” won the award for best score and song respectively. The comedian also picked up Best Comedy Actress for Trainwreck.
Best Comedy Series: “Master of None”.
Fargo won Best Movie Made for Television or Limited Series and earned star Kirsten Dunst the award for Best Actress in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series.
