Christie returns to New Hampshire for presidential campaign
Two days after forgoing the campaign trail for New Jersey ahead of a winter storm, Gov. Christie returned Sunday to New Hampshire – and wasted no time incorporating the blizzard into his leadership pitch.
“Well, that’s a difference between a United States senator who has never been responsible for anything and a governor who is responsible for everything that goes on in your state”.
Chris Christie (R) shrugged off polls that showed people of his state disapproved of the job he was doing, and promised to deliver for residents “when the chips are down”. “And that shows a real immaturity from Senator Rubio to be joking as families were freezing in the cold, losing power and some of them losing loved ones”, Mr. Christie said. Not a good look, Guv, nor is flat-out admitting you only came back to avoid criticism.
“It sounds like school to me, and not like the kind of job that the presidency is”, he said.
The Rubio campaign fired back against Christie.
Christie – who a year ago withdrew his support for the standards, which are anathema to many conservatives – said Common Core was “gone”. His approval ratings in his home state have also dipped dramatically, with 59% of New Jersey residents disapproving of the governor’s performance. “I am clearly the disaster governor”. I govern for results.
“Some states with high property taxes, like New Hampshire and Texas, rely heavily on property taxes in lieu of other major tax categories; others, like New Jersey and IL, impose high property taxes alongside high rates in the other major tax categories”, the nonprofit wrote in its study. The town hall in Portsmouth was one of three campaign stops in New Hampshire.
There are some candidates in this race who try to tell you it doesnt matter what youve done before.
Did you get that, folks?
The shore town just south of Atlantic City won a court ruling last month when a judge said it’s entitled to a new hearing to challenge whether the state is justified in using eminent domain to acquire town-owned beachfront lots. Slow clap for Jake.
