Huge name rumored to be returning at Royal Rumble

This year, though, there is a twist as Roman Reigns – the reigning WWE World Heavyweight champion – must defend his title in the 30-Superstar Royal Rumble Match. It looks like the plan is to have Reigns lose his title to, possibly, Triple H, setting up a showdown between The Game and Reigns at WrestleMania 32. Also in the match will be the League of Nations (Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett and Rusev) who hope to reclaim the title back into the stable. Daniel Bryan was going to be our sixth legit pick to win the Royal Rumble, as perhaps a surprise 30th draw, but the former World Heavyweight champion getting medical clearance and instantly injected back into the main-event heat without being eased back in is asking for a lot. With Bray Wyatt making his entry immediately after, the Eater of the World was on his own, but he soon addressed that issue as the rest of his Family mounted the apron and attacked Lesnar as one.

As if that wasn’t a daunting task of its own, the McMahon family rigged the drawing this past Monday Night Raw to make Reigns the No. 1 overall entrant.

The Miz in the ready to host “Miz TV” when the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose came out & put Miz in the corner & proclaimed it “Dean TV”.

Roman was the early target, and ended up on a stretcher with possible broken ribs after being ganged up on before the halfway point in the match, but he wanted back in the ring so badly.

Chris Jericho had an epic performance in the 2016 Royal Rumble, lasting over 50 minutes after coming in at number 6. For “Raw”, viewers will expect further developments on whether Charlotte will feud only Sasha or if there would be a triple-threat match with Becky at the next pay per view, “Fastlane”. Jericho then proceeded to introduce New Day’s opponents.

It remains to be seen if this is the route the WWE will take but if one connects the dots, it does make sense and straighten things out. Owens and Ambrose were able to have a match that they worked the high spots and the weapons into the overall story, which was nice to see. In addition, I loved the opening segment with a new Francesca returning; the only mistake was that they should have named the trombone La hija de Francesca. The Dudley Boyz vs. Mark Henry and Jack Swagger vs. The Ascension vs. Darren Young and Damien Sandow in a Rumble match qualifier is listed for the Kickoff Show. At least there’s some uncertainty going into this match as to who will actually win.
