Facebook to bring more 3D Touch support to its iOS app soon
According to the TechCrunch report, Facebook says the 3D Touch feature will work on profiles, links, Groups, Facebook Events, and users will just have to do a light press to get a preview of the content without opening the link. With 3D Touch, users can do a lot more from the Paytm app icon itself, enhancing one’s propensity to make more cashless transactions quicker and with greater convenience.
Facebook will integrate the much-famed feature of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, the 3D touch, in its app on iOS, reported Engadget. It seems odd that it would take so long to roll out some pretty basic additions to the app, but they’re coming.
Facebook has just started rolling out the 3D touch feature on the Timeline to a “small group” of people.
If iPhone users can now use 3D Touch to post status updates, video and photos in a faster manner, Facebook plans to expand the set of options offered by 3D Touch in the near future.
So instead of tapping and swiping, “3D Touch” will allow users to hard-press on items to preview content and then optionally act on it, Tech Crunch reported.
Apple added these features to its own apps at that time, but other developers are finally starting to see the merits of this new interaction.
Apple introduced 3D Touch past year with the iPhone 6S.
Users are also now able to use the iOS 9 Spotlight feature to search for recent documents, meaning that users won’t first have to open either Word, PowerPoint or Excel to find these documents. The bottom line is, the brand new update allows for opening all of the social media website’s information customers to use 3D Contact performance.
