Gennady Golovkin: ‘I Will Go 154 For Floyd’

Though he hasn’t made it official, Floyd Mayweather, Jr is likely to end up facing Andre Berto this coming September 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s prospective matchup with Andre Berto has been heavily criticized by fans and media, so his uncle Jeff has come to the defense of the fight. TMZ Sports quoted that the two sides have been in talks for weeks, and now the deal is done.

After going 27-0, Berto struggled in his last six fights against known boxers and have compiled a 3-3 record since then. His last fight with Manny Pacquiao labeled as the “fight of the century”, garnered a $100 per pay-per-view. Mayweather won with a unanimous decision on that day, and everyone had been wondering what could possibly be next for the two fighters that took home one of the biggest purses in the history of boxing.

“Pretty much anything you could name, I had it laid out”. “You can’t have any inconclusive stuff”, Hunter told Hustle Boss when asked about the probable Mayweather-Berto fight later this year.
