Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) To Boost MacBook Lineup In 2016
Yet, it is believed that the soon-to-be-released iPhone model which has a 4-inch display will obtain a better response compared to that received by the iPhone 5c, since Apple Inc.is planning to stick to the metal body rather than a plastic casing. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who have leaked a number of reliable Apple-related information in the past, the iPad Air 3 could bring a new dimension to the multi-touch interface, but 3D Touch will not be among the device’s features, citing production issues. According to a new investors note, Apple should introduce new MacBook upgrades by June.
Looking out over the next 12 months, Apple reportedly has a few exciting changes in store for its notebook lineup. It’s worth pointing out that Kuo has an excellent reputation when it comes to predicting Apple plans, products and releases, proving to be accurate on many occasions in the past. However, Kuo doesn’t see any significant upside to the new devices and has revised estimated shipments down.
Coming to the improved model of the Apple Watch, the FaceTime camera is rumored to arrive later in the year but in March, the smartwatch could get a WatchOS 2.2 update along with new bands created by Hermes. We can also see the glass is curved at the edges (just like on the iPhone 6/6S) and the antenna band is thicker, too.
Apple is also expected to jump on board with Intel’s new Skylake processors this year, equipping its new MacBooks with the new CPUs.
Intel’s Skylake is a follow up to Broadwell, offering usual performance improvements like a boost of 10 to 20% to CPU speeds and of 16 to 41% to integrated graphics chips. Moreover, Skylake will also enhance battery life, thanks to its 14nm architecture. The move to unwrap a new iPad Mini during September is somewhat surprising given that the original iPad Mini and all its current versions were all launched at October Apple events.
Overall, the first half of 2016 is anticipated to be lackluster on the basis of the upcoming mobile devices, while the MacBook will support revenues and register the highest growth among all the products of the tech titan.
