Manning, Broncos scramble past Patriots

A few hours earlier, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos outlasted New England in the AFC Championship game, and Manning is the epitome of the NFL’s prosperous Old Guard.

The Broncos won the game, 20-18, after the Patriots failed on a two-point conversion with just 12 seconds remaining.

“I tell you, I can do it all”, Miller said with a wry smile. Brady has the record for regular season contests, but with the win over the Patriots Manning now is 3-2 against Brady in the playoffs.

Sunday afternoon’s game was up 31% from last year’s AFC championship which also included the Patriots and would later be synonymous with the “Deflategate” controversy.

Manning did not slow down as he found Daniels for a 21 yard touchdown and his second of the day.
