Trump says he could ‘shoot somebody’ and still maintain support
“I like people that weren’t captured, OK?”
During his speech, Trump called Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly biased and said she should not be a moderator at a Fox-hosted Republican debate in Des Moines on Thursday.
The latest Reuters-Ipsos tracking poll had Trump pulling in 40.6% support of Republican voters nationally.
Trump is now leading Ted Cruz among likely Republican caucus voters in Iowa.
As Sanders told a crowd at a rally in Maquoketa, Iowa on Saturday night, millions of people across the country are increasingly frustrated and fed up with the status quo.
Trump’s inflammatory comments have become a news staple as his campaign has escalated. Give a listen to this from this morning in Sioux Center.
“The way I read what he said”, explained Clinton, “is if I didn’t get the nomination, he might consider it. Well, I’m going to relieve him of that and get the nomination so he doesn’t have to”.
“We need a new George Washington”, Beck said, according to the press release.
“Glenn’s a loser”, he said.
“She went down and he got all the credit for it”, Trump said.
Meanwhile, the business magnate was recently heavily criticized and raised more than a few eyebrows when he retweeted a tweet that came from a user named “WhiteGenocideTM”. Beck blasted the real estate mogul’s “hubris” for stating he has never sought forgiveness from God, saying he is a “guy who has a bunch of strip clubs and casinos”.
In part, Cruz owes his success to his intransigence in the Senate, where he has steadfastly refused to make any compromises with Democrats.
In both New Hampshire and Iowa, a sample of 801 registered voters selected from statewide voter files was used. They helped boost Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum to victory in Iowa in 2008 and 2012. The leader, of course has been Donald Trump, but try not to picture him in Lycra. 36 percent of Ted Cruz’s supporters are certain they’ll support the Texas Senator. Cruz has also blasted the Republican leadership, and appears to revel in animosity toward him by the GOP establishment.
Beck is among almost two dozen conservative thinkers who penned anti-Trump essays for National Review magazine – a hit Trump to referred to repeatedly at the rally.
Trump on Saturday also reprised a line he used against Cruz on Twitter just a day earlier, noting that Cruz “could run for the prime minister of Canada”.
“There are understandable reasons for his eminence… but he is not deserving of conservative support in the caucuses and primaries”. “The progressive party was started by Theodore Roosevelt, it was started by a Republican”.
Mr Cruz, running close with Mr Trump in Iowa polls, was nearly entirely focused on the billionaire in his event in Ankeny, Iowa, yesterday.
