In both New Hampshire and Iowa, a sample of 801 registered voters selected from statewide voter files was used.
THE FRONT-RUNNER for the Republican nomination to contest this year’s US Presidential election Donald Trump says that he could shoot someone and still not lose voters.
A CNN/ORC poll has Trump up in Iowa with 37% to 26% for Cruz, who has led in some other Iowa polls.
The endorsement comes in the wake of Sarah Palin, another conservative heavyweight, endorsing Donald Trump earlier this week.
The new poll, therefor, marks a distinct turn in the race, making a stronger case for a Trump win in Iowa.
He also says he would support rival Cruz for president if there were no questions about the Texas senator’s eligibility.
Having angered veterans with his quip at Mr McCain’s expense, Mr Trump caused outrage when he mocked a disabled newspaper reporter, Serge Kovaleski, who suffers from a congenital joint condition. Trump supporters have repeatedly been filmed physically attacking undesired protesters at his rallies, sometimes with the candidate’s apparent support.

“Donald Trump has brought some energy into this party, he has brought some energy into this country and I’ve lived in this particular county for seven generations”, Kaufmann said.
Trump said he might sue Cruz over whether he is eligible to run for president of the United States.
“She went down and he got all the credit for it”, Trump said.
Elsewhere in Iowa, Rubio stressed that he represents the next generation of conservative leadership as he started the dash to the caucuses at Iowa State University in Ames. “He was supporting Marco Rubio’s Dream Act”, Cruz said. The frontrunner in the race to be named the Republican candidate for the White House, Trump made the comments at a campaign rally in Iowa.
