Microsoft updates Office 365 to improve collaboration capabilities
Microsoft has opened up its Office Insider program to users on Macs, following the launch of the service on Windows Desktop, Windows Mobile, and Android devices last November (via ZDNet).

When the iPad Pro launched in the fall, Apple invited Microsoft to show off Apple Pencil support in the Office apps, but until now, that functionality had not shown up in the iPad apps.
By signing up for this program you get an early look at new features and enhancements to the operating system and get a chance to provide feedback to the Windows team about what works and what does not in the burgeoning OS.
The iOS version of Office will now take advantage of iOS 9’s new Spotlight search feature.
The new Office update also saves users from having to search for documents by launching the Word app first. This latest announcement aims to endear them further with Apple’s own fans, bringing one of the best features of Office to iOS and giving some Mac users early access to upcoming Office features. Multiple other features have also arrived for iOS devices, such as PowerPoint Designer, real-time collaboration, and Draw tab.
While digital inking tools have been available in Office on Windows PCs since 2007, today they’re releasing new inking tools in Office for iPad and iPad Pro to make it easy for users to use their finger or Apple Pencil to work on documents, presentations, spreadsheets and notes.
