Bills QB Taylor, C Wood, G Incognito added to Pro Bowl
The Buffalo Bills announced today that Bills G Richie Incognito has been named to this year’s Pro Bowl.
Though I will be the first to admit that the Pro Bowl is a joke with the amount of players that simply choose not to play or make up some ridiculous injury to avoid the trip, it will be fun to watch Taylor play.
Wood will join Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who will replace Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, the team reported Monday.
This will be the first Pro Bowl appearance for the 26-year-old, you have to wonder if this will impact his contract negotiations.
Kalil ducked out of the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl, making room for Buffalo Bills center Eric Wood. He set a team record for quarterbacks with 568 yards rushing, and threw 20 touchdown passes versus six interceptions.
Wood started all 16 games for the Bills in 2015 and helped pave the way to the Bills having both the top rushing attack in the National Football League in yards (2,432) and yards per carry (4.78).
In 2002, four Bills (quarterback Drew Bledsoe, guard Ruben Brown, running back Travis Henry and wide receiver Eric Moulds) earned Pro Bowl honors. But for many, Taylor’s season was defined partially by two games he did not play.
The 2016 Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 31 and televised live on ESPN from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. Hull appeared in the Pro Bowl for three consecutive seasons (1988-1990).
