Star Wars Battlefront’s Getting Cloud City, Death Star And Jabba’s Palace Maps
There’s a Death Star map coming to Star Wars Battlefront!
“At DICE, we’re passionate about what we’ve created with Star Wars Battlefront, and are committed to supporting not only the game but all of our fans over the months ahead”, said senior producer Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir.
Electronic Arts has revealed the next wave of free content for its multiplayer shooter Star Wars Battlefront, which includes new multiplayer modes for the Tatooine map, as well as Hoth-themed outfits for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, and more.
Like many big-publisher releases that come out nowadays, Battlefront’s post-launch content is tethered to a season pass. Spend the $50 on the season pass and you get early access to four expansion packs with a mix of new weapons, locations and hero characters.
Star Wars Battlefront is the third main entry in the Star Wars: Battlefront series and is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
Of course, this isn’t all the new content EA and Dice are releasing for Star Wars Battlefront.
First off, there is free content coming Wednesday.
Carlen also confirmed that the new map that is set on Tatooine will not be included in the free pack. Now known as Raider Camp, the map will be compatible with modes such as Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt, and Heroes vs Villains. And private matches are now an option if you only want to play with friends. Daily Challenges and Community Events will also add fresh objectives and goals to complete, earning credits and unlocks.
February brings a new survival mission on Hoth, a new MP map that will support larger game modes including “Walker Assault, Supremacy, Fighter Squadron and Turning Point”, as well as Turning Point being available on “all maps that now support Walker Assault and Supremacy”. And for March, players get a new Endor multiplayer map and a Tatooine survival map. Turning Point will also be made available across all maps that now support Walker Assault and Supremacy.
