Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 Windows 10 Tablet Launches For $200
In a recent post from Weibo, Li-Wanqiang, the Co-founder of Xiaomi announced an event to be held on the 24th of February, wherein the launch of the much-anticipated flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected. Xiaomi’s Senior VP Liwan Jiang has confirmed this via Weibo and further stated that the smartphone has also entered mass production and will have enough stocks at the time of its release.
The Xiaomi MI 5 launch will take place at the 2016 edition of Mobile World Congress on Februrary 24.
After having launched the Mi Pad with Android Lollipop on top towards the fag end of past year, Xiaomi is all set to launch the Windows 10 variant of the slate on Jan 26.
It seems Chinese electronic manufacturer Xiaomi is finally coming out of its slumber and geared up to release the next Mi smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will have one version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage space; and one with a solid 4 GB of RAM and 4 GB of in-built storage. This timing seems a bit odd though, MWC will be in full motion at that time, and one would think Xiaomi will wait until after the tradeshow to announced their flagship.
It was also speculated then that its launch would be on January 21, but the launch has now been confirmed to be on February 24. The smartphone is likely to come with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset that will be available with an octa-core CPU. While earlier reports claimed that the upcoming flagship could be available in two variants, a new report pegs it at as many as four. The remaining two versions will come with 2.5D curved glass both on the front as well as back, 4GB RAM, and 2K display (although that probably means QHD as 2K has never been a phone resolution).
Additional information about the Xiaomi Mi 5 includes the smart phone having 4 GB RAM, 16 MP rear camera and 13 MP spec for its front camera.
For those unware the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 come with a metal body and comes in Champagne Gold and Dark Grey colours.
