Nexus 5X receives additional $50 price drop, now starts at $389 CAD
Remember earlier today when I told you about those discounts on the Nexus 6P and 5X? Mere weeks after reducing the original, $379 price of its Nexus 5X to $349, the phone’s price has been even more severely slashed, down to $299.
Google’s Nexus has a more expensive variant in the form of the Nexus 6P, which was built in collaboration with Huawei.
The LG Nexus 5X is an enhanced edition of the LG Nexus 5 smartphone that was launched in 2013.
Apple just had its earnings call for its first fiscal quarter of 2016 and reported record results of $18.4 billion profit and 74.8 million iPhones sold and Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that iPhone sales will likely decline for the first time ever in the March quarter. It’s not clear if this is a permanent price cut, but we assume that it is.
The Snapdragon 808 SoC is present inside Nexus 5X.
Both the 16 GB and 32 GB Nexus 5X are now in stock, but there’s only a limited quantity available. Those were being offered by Best Buy and Amazon, but if you’d prefer to do your buying through Google, you can get those deals now, too. The device runs the latest version of Android, 6.0 Marshmallow and since it’s a Nexus, it receives all software updates directly from Google.
The Google Nexus 5X includes other features like USB Type-C, fingerprint scanner and a 2700 mAh capacity battery. There’s also a discount for the 32 GB model which is now priced at $349, also $80 less than the launch price.
