Man arrested in subway slashing was turned in by his grandmother

The 32-year-old victim was at East 117th Street and Lexington Avenue when the attacker approached and cut him at about 9:40 p.m., law-enforcement sources said.
A Brooklyn man is under arrest after police say he slashed a woman on a subway in Manhattan. Footage from inside the subway station shows the suspect jumping over the turnstile as he ran away.
A very clear image of the man wanted for questioning was released by the NYPD.
She said the man fell on her as she was sitting, and somehow managed to hide the slashing and the blade.
The woman received 20 stitches at the hospital. That’s it, ‘ she told CBS New York. The suspect in that incident has been linked to an October 18 slashing, as well, police said.
During the Monday morning commute, a 71-year-old was slashed across the face allegedly by a 21-year-old man at the Broadway-Lafayette station.
Also this month, a 24-year-old woman was attacked in Chelsea by a knife-wielding suspect with an extensive criminal history.
Police later arrested Francis Salud, 28, in connection to the attack.
