Adebayor joins Palace until end of season

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba now holds the record with 104 Premier League goals in 254 appearances in his career, while Adebayor has scored 96 Premier League goals in 230 appearances.

Adebayor was a free agent after being released by former club Tottenham in September.

However, Palace have been extremely keen on signing striker this month, with manager Alan Pardew revealing his interest in the 31-year-old two weeks ago.

When the loan period expired in the summer of 2011 Adebayor joined Tottenham, initially also on loan before the switch was made permanent in August 2012 for a fee of about 4.5 million pounds.

The striker added: “Is it going to be hard?” I don’t think so.

“Personally I don’t have anything to achieve. Let me laugh, let me enjoy myself and hopefully I can bring that into the dressing room and the team will follow, and we will get where we want to get to”, he said.
