Popovich, not Kerr or Walton, to coach All-Star Game

When the game tip-off Monday night, San Antonio will look to extend its winning streak to 13 straight games, while its record on the road sits at 14-6.

The Eastern Conference All-Star coach hasn’t been announced yet, although new Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue would seem to be the best bet considering the Cavaliers have the best record in the Eastern Conference.

There is no precedent set for an interim coach assuming the All-Star head coaching responsibilities, but the league considered giving the honor to Walton.
