Salman Khan tweets defending Yakub Memon, says first hang Tiger Memon
Salman further tweeted, “Kidhar chupa hai tiger?” The actor feels that it should be Tiger who should be hanged, and not his younger brother who is being made to pay the price of it.
“1 innocent man killed is killing the humanity”, the actor said.
“All the issues raised by Yakub in his fresh mercy petition have been raised in his mercy petition before the President of India and curative petition before the apex court“.
But his lawyers lodged the last-ditch appeal saying his execution date of July 30 had been set in April before this week’s Supreme Court verdict.
Yakub Memon has been sentenced to death for his role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor also went all to call Tiger a coward.
He also tweeted out to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to share details about Tiger’s whereabouts and if he is now hiding in the neighbouring country. “Don’t hang brother hang tha lomdi (fox) who ran away”, Salman tweeted. “Parade him not his brother”, he said in a series of tweets. “Sharif Saab ek darkhaust hai k agar yeh aap k mulkh mein hai toh plz iktila kar deejiyeh”.
Yakub spent around half an hour with his teary-eyed wife Rahin, daughter Zubeida and three other family members in the meeting arena of Nagpur Central Jail on Thursday morning.
Memon is seen as one of the main conspirators of 1993 blasts that killed more than 250 persons.
A chartered accountant, Memon, 53, has filed his second review petition before the Supreme Court which is expected to be heard on July 21, but the state government is making all preparations for the hanging with the warrant issued earlier this week.
