Arcade Fire plans first live shows since 2014
Multi-instrumentalist Will Butler (brother of the band’s frontman Win) debuted his first solo album, Policy, last year, and the band’s drummer, Jeremy Gara, has a project in the works called Limn.
Well, 2016 looks to be a huge year for Arcade Fire – with the band hopefully airing new material as they play exclusive shows at Portugal’s Nos Alive and Spain’s Bilbao BBK. Arcade Fire will headline the Sunday night (July 9) after performances from M83 and Jose Gonzalez.
And though Bilbao BBK Live runs from July 7 to 9, it’s safe to say that Arcade Fire will be playing during the beginning two-thirds of the festival. They join previously announced acts which include Pixies, New Order, Years & Years and Wolf Alice, while Foals have also been confirmed as BBK headliners this July.
NOS Alive 2016 weekend tickets without camping are priced at £99.66, or from £113.89 with camping included at the Lisboa campsite (five minutes from the festival site). Earlier this month, the band donated a pair of tickets to its upcoming world tour, with an estimated redeem date of November 2017.
Get excited, Arcade Fire fans – they’re back, with the Reflektor stars announcing their return to the road with festival tour dates calling at two massive European Festivals this summer.
