Former Sen. Jon Kyl endorses Marco Rubio for president

Both Clinton, the Democrat, and Rubio, the Republican, are polling behind other candidates in most recent Iowa public opinion surveys. Clinton’s campaign spent the day working to revive a debate about gun control, building on her previous criticism of Sanders for backing legislation granting gun manufacturers legal immunity.

“I am not endorsing”, Ernst said shortly after taking the stage in Des Moines to a standing ovation against the backdrop of red, white and blue signs bearing Rubio’s name.

The presidential candidate stars in a new spoof video out Tuesday, making fun of his infamous errant pass that hit a child in the head in Iowa.

To become a unity candidate, as Rubio is trying, he believes he must first see Cruz fail in Iowa.

Rubio is now a distant third in the polls, behind Trump and Cruz.

The Florida Republican, who also said he was “grateful” for the Register’s endorsement, has struggled to gain traction in Iowa ahead of the caucuses early next month, placing third in a Fox News poll of the state released Sunday behind Sen. “Rubio win this election”.

“I’m making a decision among all of the Republican candidates, and I’m not going to say anything ill about any of them”, he said. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) introduced him, Rubio made a point of bringing up his faith without being asked about it.

Rubio talked about the importance Iowa has in the process.

“Governor Pataki served the people of NY honorably for 12 years and led us during our most hard time following the September 11 attacks”, she said.

Conservative Solutions, the super PAC that supports Rubio, is calling potential Rubio supporters, collecting information about them and directing them to the Iowa Republican Party’s website to find their caucus locations.

In Rubio’s defense, he did not shy away from capitalizing on it and using his youthful appearance on his campaigns.
