Ford Mustang to debut in India in 2nd quarter of 2016
This icon has finally reached Indian shores- The Ford Mustang is here. The Mustang will go on sale in India in the second quarter of 2016.
“For the first time in 50 years, we have a right-hand drive Ford Mustang”.
The entire look has been revamped with edgier styling.
The automobile boost of an aviation-inspired cockpit and a large, high-definition screen that displays vehicle information in a spacious cabin.
Further, the new Mustang is equipped with new front and rear suspension systems. The geometry, springs, dampers and bushings all have been specifically modified and tuned for this high-performance application.
The Mustang that will be launched in India will have a 5.5 litre V8 engine which will produce 420 hp of power and a torque of 529 NM. A new intake manifold improves low-speed breathing for better fuel economy, idle stability, and emissions.
To arrive here most probably a CBU (Completely Built Unit) import from the United States, the Mustang is being offered only in the top- specked GT version, unlike the worldwide markets, that gets two relatively less powered trims as well. “For music lovers, the vehicle’s audio system comprises of AM/FM Stereo, single CD/MP3 player, 12 speakers and an 8” sub woofer. In terms of safety features, the muscle auto comes equipped with multiple airbags, ABS, EBD and BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) that uses radar to detect a vehicle at a blind spot and alerts with an indicator in the appropriate exterior mirror.
Other than the the signature long hood, shortened rear deck, and a galloping horse on the grille, the Ford Mustang will also get signature HID head-lamps, LED tri-bar tail-lamps with sequential turn signals, and dual exhaust pipes as standard.
