Blake Griffin broke hand punching equipment manager
Blake Griffin’s been with the Los Angeles Clippers for his entire National Basketball Association career, but after beating up a member of the team’s staff, his days may be numbered.
Things were tough for the Clippers, carrying the emotional baggage from losing Blake Griffin to a self-inflicted injury.
As of now, no charges have been filed.
Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com reported the news Tuesday.
The 26-year-old star forward and the staffer got into a scuffle in a restaurant in Toronto during the team’s recent five-game Eastern Conference road trip.
Durant hit the tying jumper with 16.2 seconds left in regulation, then scored seven points in overtime to surpass the 43 points he had against Orlando on October 30, a game that went to two overtimes.
Coach Doc Rivers said Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, that the team would be releasing a statement about the incident and that it would be addressed more fully before the Clippers’ evening game in Indianapolis. The Clippers are conducting an investigation into the incident with the help of the National Basketball Association. Griffin took to Twitter, posting a picture of a long paragraph explaining Griffin regretting his actions and apologizing to fans and the team for creating a distraction.
Griffin had been recovering from a quad injury and was expected to return on the trip. He underwent a procedure Tuesday morning performed by Dr. Steve Shin.
Recovery time from the injury is approximately four to six weeks, the team said. This type of stuff shouldn’t happen, but it did, “Doc Rivers told reporters”.
According to an ESPN report, the power forward and the equipment staffer got into an argument in a restaurant. He was asked if he was satisfied with Griffin’s explanation.
“I’m not satisfied with anything”, Rivers said. That’s how we’re going to deal with this, like family.
Rivers said via another tweet from Markazi. Nor did he express worry about legal proceedings that could materialize. “I’ll tell you that, just my opinion”. Questions also can be raised as to what role, if any, alcohol may have played in the incident. “I think that’s very important in life”. “You want to try to end this road trip on a good note, so it was important for us to come out ready from the beginning”.
“We had lot of plays that we wish we could have taken back, just poor execution, poor spacing”, George said after the Pacers’ third straight loss. How can you avoid all these situations with these players?
Since point guard Kyrie Irving returned in December from his injury absence, Love is averaging 15.6 points per game and shooting 42 percent from the field.:ast week, Griffin fired coach David Blatt and replaced him with Tyronn Lue.
