Cam Newton: ‘I’m an African American QB that scares people’
“I’m an African-American quarterback that may scare a lot of people”, Newton said, “because they haven’t seen nothing that they can compare me to”.
Talib said Newton is “super unique”. He said it’s easy to resist, with one reminder: “I’m not living for anybody else”.
Newton is the leading candidate for the NFL MVP award after leading the league with 45 touchdowns.
For starters, the Cardinals had an awesome season despite the outcome, they came out of the 2015 season at a record of 13-3, NFC West Champions as well as the second seed in the NFC, and fought their way to an NFC Championship.
Davis said the Kevlar brace is the same type worn by Steve Smith said after the former Panthers wideout broke his arm playing flag football.
“It’s a resilient attitude, that says we won’t settle”, Newton said. The team posed for group sideline pictures in the final minutes of their 49-15 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game last Sunday.
“I am quite surprised how one-sided it is so early, but it seems our bettors would rather go with the Panthers offense against what is a very good Denver defense”, said Kevin Bradley, Bovada’s sports book manager. “I’m trying to find any and every way to alleviate him being a pain”.
And there we have it. Our lineup is set. For me to be in the position I’m in today.
Because by being a better, more confident fan that expects the best out of you, I might just help you guys believe that you can make it to the promise land of sports. Should I do more?
“He’s throwing the ball fantastic right now, and you know what he can do with his legs”. However, this doesn’t mean the end of the road for these Arizona Cardinals, don’t count them out!
“You can sit in the pocket and throw it, and then you can run, run wide out”, Talib said, listing Newton’s attributes.
“Obviously, he didn’t have his greatest game ever”, pass rusher Dwight Freeney said.
You hosted – and won – one of the most exciting games in playoff history.
Newton reminded Oher about how far he’d come on the Panthers practice field Wednesday.
I understand exactly what Newton is saying, and it is not surprising.
The Broncos punched their ticket to Super Bowl 50 with a win over the Patriots in last Sunday’s AFC championship game, a matchup in which Denver’s vigorous defense left Tom Brady bruised and beaten as the team hit the veteran quarterback 20 times and registered four sacks in addition to intercepting him twice.
Maybe Newton isn’t listening, but there is no possible way to tune him out in the days ahead.
Few people can say they’ve taken the field during a Super Bowl.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Michael Oher avoided answering questions about “The Blind Side” when he went to the Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens following the 2012 season. Nothing has pretty much changed.
