Wrongful death lawsuit against Caitlyn Jenner dismissed
The nightmare isn’t completely over for Kris Jenner’s ex as she’s still facing the suit from the family driving the Hummer.
A settlement has been reached in the lawsuit brought against Caitlyn Jenner over a fatal auto crash in February 2015, with the stepchildren of the woman killed filing to dismiss the suit.
“Now, ultimately a jury trial in this civil case is the only way to hold Ms. Jenner accountable for causing Kim Howe’s death”, William Howe and Redmond’s attorney, Jeffrey D. Wolf, said at the time. The collision sent Howe’s auto into oncoming traffic, causing a head-on collision with a vehicle traveling the other direction.
According to authorities, the accident occurred on the Pacific Coast Highway when Howe’s Lexus rear-ended a Toyota Prius driven by a women identified as Jessica Steindorff.
Jenner settled a lawsuit with another driver affected by the accident back in December, but still faces a third pending lawsuit from a third party who was involved.
Ringo H.W. Chiu/AP Before she was cleared of any criminal charges, Jenner told NBC’s “Today” show that she remembered “very little” about the crash.
‘It is a devastating tragedy and I can not pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. “I will continue to cooperate in every way possible”.
Howe’s stepchildren, William Howe and Dana Redmond, sued the the transgender reality star for damages – one of three lawsuits filed against her. The money came from an insurance company, so nothing came directly from Jenner.
The possibility of a manslaughter charge against Jenner, 66, was the topic of much discussion in the months before and after the former Olympic athlete went public with her transition from Bruce to Caitlyn, however, prosecutors announced in September that no charges would be filed. Everyone is anticipating who Jenner will now date with her new lifestyle.
