Kris Jenner recalls ‘stressful’ OJ Simpson trial
As Jenner recalled all the tough experiences her friend Nicole had to deal with without her knowledge, the 60-year-old hoped that the series would shed light on the struggles that women had to deal with in this day and age, People reports.
Echoing reservations that prosecution witness Kato Kaelin voiced in a Daily News review Monday, relatives of the slain Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman remain doubtful that “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” can truly capture the drama of the retired National Football League star’s murder trial – because the production team never asked them to weigh in.
“Before I got pregnant with Kendall, I had a miscarriage at three months Nicole really got me through that”.
Jenner revealed that her friendship with Nicole Brown Simpson got her through some hard times in her life.
“In the United States, a woman is beaten in her home every nine seconds by the man they love”.
Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner said she shared “precious moments” with Nicole Brown Simpson. Things have obviously changed since then, and the new FX series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson makes sure viewers don’t forget how one of America’s most famous families was embroiled in the trial of the century.
Does this situation with Kris Jenner and OJ Simpson make sense to you, or does it seem like a cry for attention? “She was amusing, she was lovely and loyal and passionate and the best mom I had ever met”.
“Domestic violence is a real tragedy in our lives”.
Jenner says she still carries guilt over Nicole’s abuse. Nicole’s ex-husband O.J. Simpson was charged with her murder, but was acquitted of the criminal charges in a highly-viewed televised trial. During the court case, the USA reality star would wear the maternity clothes Simpson gave her.
Jenner adds: “My heart breaks because of all the pain and suffering she went through”. “We survived and we are thriving, but the insane thing is that I don’t think it will ever go away”. “And (her death) was a loss for so many”.
The initial vehicle chase between Simpson and the police following the murder was viewed by around 95 million people across the United States, as the scene stopped regular television programming nearly universally (something we see a lot of today).
