Samsung’s next Galaxy phone just leaked
With this year’s Mobile World Congress less than a month away we’ve been treated to another teasing glimpse at of a pair of Samsung’s flagship handsets for 2016 – the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Plus. The batteries will remain non-replaceable – 3,000mAh on the GS7 and 3,600mAh on the S7 Edge; the phones will both support fast wireless charging. The 5.1-inch model will have a flat screen and the larger 5.5-inch model “S7 Edge” will have the curved screen that we saw on the S6 Edge and S6 Edge+.
February is nearly here and we’re pretty sure that many Galaxy fans are waiting for the release date of the S7 flagship. They’re said to have different battery sizes, too, with the GS7 packing a 3000mAh battery and the GS7 edge reportedly carrying a 3600mAh battery.
There’s no view of the rear or side of the device so it’s unclear if Samsung is bringing back the MicroSD card slot.
Moreover, from March and April, the upgrade may then be made available for three more models – Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, and Galaxy Note Edge.
The 2016 version of the Samsung Galaxy J1 has quietly gone on sale in Dubai before the latest versions of the Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7 were launched during the recent GFXBench event.
Samsung did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Ultimately this means customers looking to purchase the Galaxy S7 when it launches will be able to pay off the device in monthly installments.
