Netflix Reveals ‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival Cast: Who’s Coming Back?
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Netflix officially announced their Gilmore Girls revival series on Friday. The titular Gilmores themselves – Lauren Graham (Lorelai) and Alexis Bledel (Rory) – are coming back to Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The show’s mastermind Amy Sherman-Palladino is back with husband / writer Daniel Palladino to work out what’s been confirmed as Gilmore Girl’s “real” final season, and Graham herself seems duly stoked on the whole deal. Netflix, however, had not confirmed the development until today.
While there have been conflicting reports regarding the structure of the WB classic’s new episodes, we are happy to say we now know which of the original cast members are already signed on for the revival!
Although no date has been set for the return of the series to Netflix, start preparing for the binge of a lifetime in true Gilmore style – with copious amounts of pizza and stockpiles of candy that would make Willy Wonka himself blush. Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena also are returning.
The new series will be produced by Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. The photos showed Miss Patty’s dance studio receiving a fresh coat of paint, along with the revived appearance of some Gilmore Girls-related props.
Meanwhile, Graham celebrated the news on her Twitter account soon after the revival was made official.
