Rihanna Drops ‘Work’ Featuring Drake, First Single Off Long-Awaited ‘ANTI’
And lucky for fans, for 24 hours, ANTI, which includes a feature by SZA, is available for free download via Tidal using the code, ANTI.
And despite Tidal’s dismal reputation amgonst the streaming platform population, it seems as though Rihanna‘s sudden reappearance with “Anti” is enough to garner users to tune back in.
Rihanna, pictured at the 2nd Annual Diamond Ball on December 10, 2015 in Santa Monica, California, released her new album “Anti” exclusively on Tidal. Rihanna has inadvertently taken the strategy made most famous by Beyoncé, by just releasing a surprise album to combat leaks.
While the gift download period has now expired, the album is still available for streaming on TIDAL; since last night, ANTI has already been streamed almost 14 million times. She has released seven albums from 2005 to 2012. This new album is titled “Anti” and it will be singer’s eighth studio album. Later that day, Rihanna released a digital version through iTunes and Tidal. Then a deluxe album with three bonus tracks will be out January 29th.
ANTI, the R&B star’s first album in nearly four years was reportedly set for release on Friday (29Jan16), but some fans were able to get a sneak peek of the record two days early due to a glitch in the system. There’s been so much hype surrounding the album and Rihanna has put a lot of pressure on herself to follow up her past work.
Rihanna has revealed her new single – a collaboration with Drake but people aren’t sure what to make of it. It doesn’t feature any of last year’s singles, including the great “Bitch Better Have My Money” (or “FourFiveSeconds” or “American Oxygen”).
She will kick off her massive world tour at the end of February.
