Alberto Paloschi signs with Swansea City
Blair becomes the first Swansea signing since Francesco Guidolin was appointed as head coach last week.
“Alberto Paloschi was my player when we worked together at Parma”, he said.
“I know the situation of the club and, being a striker, I know the expectation is to score and I’ve come here to do that”. I think he is a modern player and can play well in the Premier League, because he’s strong and generous. “If there is the possibility, I hope to have another midfielder”.
“[The window] is a hard moment for all teams and managers, it is not a good period for teams or players either”.
I remember important players like Bobby Charlton and Kevin Keegan. Guidolin admitted that their status as battling relegation could “possibly” put off transfer targets from a move to the Liberty, which will make him even more pleased that he managed to secure the signing of Paloschi.
He knows Serie A well, and has identified Paloschi, as a player who can improve the Swans’ attacking options.
It is understood Sunderland offered £10million plus Fabio Borini, the former Swansea striker, for the Ghana global who joined the Welsh club on a free transfer from Marseille last summer.
“I worked with Francesco for two seasons at Parma and we got promoted”, the striker told the club’s official website.
The Italian said: ‘When I was younger, a boy in Italy, we could watch some matches on the television.
