Rihanna Released New Album ANTI (Stream + Download)
Rihanna released her new album early on Wednesday night (27Jan16) after the tracklist was accidentally posted on Jay-Z’s streaming music and video website Tidal. Also, Rihanna has tied up with Samsung to give out a limited number of complimentary download codes to get a 60-day free Tidal trial. Many fans were expecting it to drop in November, the month when Rihanna traditionally releases records, but it was only this week that the singer confirmed Anti was officially on its way.
It’s been almost four years since pop singer Rihanna released a full-length album and now Tidal subscribers can enjoy the eagerly-awaited ANTI. It is her first full-length LP since 2012’s Unapologetic and is now only available to stream and download on Tidal. Rihanna released?ANTI? on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, on the streaming service. But by 7pm, what appeared to be her entire eighth album, Anti, had leaked online, another misstep in an already fraught rollout.
Rihanna’s latest album has been highly anticipated since reports surfaced that the Barbados beauty was back in the studio. It doesn’t feature any of last year’s singles, including the great “Bitch Better Have My Money” (or “FourFiveSeconds” or “American Oxygen”).
She followed that up with an announcement she would be going on a world tour with Travis Scott, the Weeknd, and Big Sean…without giving any new details about the album.
As far as would-be streamers are concerned, a full cut of the new track is harder than usual to come by.
Anti will be available exclusively on Tidal for one week, and a deluxe version featuring three bonus tracks will become available on the platform on January 29.
In October 2015, the cover and title of the album were released.
