Here’s When You Can Start Ordering Your Favorite Girl Scout Cookies
Purchasing Girl Scout Cookies is about so much more than just handing over money for a box of treats.
As a festive addition to the Girl Scout cookie season, Girl Scouts Louisiana East has teamed with 20 local chefs and bartenders for “Cookies & Cocktails” Feb. 20 at Generations Hall in New Orleans.
Christine Hanichak, Girl Scout volunteer, said, “It’s actually teaching the girls how to be responsible online and how to move into the future as well”.
Cookie varieties include Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Shortbread, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Thanks-A-Lots, Cranberry Citrus Crisps and Lemonades.
All boxes sell for $5 each, except gluten-free Toffe-tastic cookies that cost $6. They set up their page and send the link to friends and family, who can then buy cookies with a credit card and have them shipped right to their house.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the country. Cookie booths open statewide February 12.
In support of the “entrepreneurial” nature of Girl Scout Cookie sales, Vivino has created a Girl Scout Cookie and Wine Pairing Guide “to take those cookies to the next level”. But she’s already been accessing COCO on the abcsmartcookies.com website managed by the baker of the Girl Scout cookies.
