New Dark Souls 3 Screens are Looking Pretty Good
From Firelink Shrine, players will begin the “dark and brooding fantasy adventure” that is Dark Souls III. She could be the equivalent of the Emerald Herald in Dark Souls II or the doll in Bloodbornel; both characters help players level up in exchange for Souls or Blood Echoes.
The new Dark Souls 3 screenshots were released in anticipation of the game’s launch this April and they’re stunning. The images also showcase the dark and gloomy atmosphere, as well as the impressive graphics.
It looks like originally the screenshots and story came from the most recent issue of Famitsu, a Japanese gaming magazine that gets a number of exclusives on anything produced within the country. This mysterious individual is described to “serve players on their long and arduous journey”.
The screens and art pieces reveal a couple of new characters to the Souls mythos, including Iudex Gundyr and Hawkwood, as well as a new location, the Untended Graves.
“The game will start in an arena known as ‘Firelink Shrine”, which will immediately be familiar to fans of the series.
“Odd looking man calling himself Ludleth of Courland and Lord of Cinder”.
It’s unclear how Dark Souls 3 will connect to the first two franchise installments, but the game’s director Hidetaka Miyazaki recently told Gamespot back in the November 2015 the upcoming game might be the franchise’s last. Take a look here…
