Khursheed Shah says PPP has no link with ‘criminal’ Uzair Baloch

He said that Uzair Baloch’s link with Pakistan People s Party (PPP) is not in his knowledge.

Yusala further stated that Dubai authorities initially told us that Uzair Baloch would remain in their custody for a while however he was never released until Sindh Rangers claimed that they have arrested my father from Karachi on January 30, 2016. He was detained in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) based on Interpol’s red-warrant on December 29 at the Dubai-Oman border. “The opposition has stood with the government in all hard times”, he said.

A foster brother of PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, MNA Owais Muzaffar – better known as Tappi – wanted to contest elections from Lyari, which was refused by Uzair.

Senior leader of PPP Nisar Khuhro said on Saturday that he is not acquainted with Uzair Baloch.

The very next month the Sindh government announced bounty on most wanted criminals of the troubled Lyari neighbourhood. Of these cases, one relates to the murder of Arshad Pappu and another relates to keeping weapons and explosives.

It is pertinent to mention here that Uzair Baloch had been arrested earlier today as he was trying to enter Karachi from the city’s suburbs. Local media have linked him to more than 20 cases of murder, extortion and terrorism and members of his gang have reportedly played football with the severed heads of his rivals.
