Liverpool reach League Cup final

Liverpool: Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has said he did not see any of the penalty shoot-out strikes which took the football club to the Capital One Cup final, edging past Stoke City.

“It’s against Liverpool, but that’s not a big thing for my mind”, Sterling said. Obviously it is my ex team, but it is just another team on the way to get past.

“That’s what I’m definitely focused on”.

“It’s great for the whole town, this city will have deserved it since I’ve been here. Nothing is going to stop me from doing it”, added Sterling.

“It’s a good feeling [to reach the final]”. However, the Merseyside club needs to play a much better brand of football.

“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly nervous walking up there but I think you get into the zone, this is what we do day-in and day-out”.

The Reds booked their place at Wembley on 28th February after they edged out Stoke 6-5 on penalties at Anfield, after the tie finished 1-1 on aggregate upon the conclusion of extra-time.

Sterling was involved in a crucial moment in Wednesday’s semifinal, when the ball appeared to be out of play before he pulled it back for Kevin De Bruyne to score City’s second goal.

Speaking after the game to the Liverpool Echo as reported by the Daily Mirror, Klopp was delighted with how Flanagan had performed, described him as his man of the match and was pleasantly surprised at how he fared.

“I thought he turned the game when he came on [against Stoke]”, Pascoe told BBC Radio Wales.

“At the end in a penalty shoot-out you always need luck and we had it”. He uploaded this video to his Instagram account with the caption: “Better get my boots ready!”

The England worldwide admitted was not too impressed by the explosions that greeted the name of each player as it was read out on the stadium public address system before kick-off. This game will not only be exciting to watch, but there is a ton of value in this game and I will be looking forward to making use of that.

“Nobody gave us a chance – why they would do that I don’t know”. Hopefully I will be this time and that’s why I’m really happy.
