Jacob Tremblay meets Leonardo DiCaprio at SAG Awards
Leonardo DiCaprio captured the Screen Actors Guild Award last night for his leading role in The Revenant and naturally went to collect his award and say a few words.
While speaking on stage, the Hollywood star said: “I am truly humbled by this because it comes from my fellow actors”.
Getting up to receive the prestigious award his “Titanic” costar Kate Winslet jumped up out of excitement and gave her longtime friend an enormous hug. “I do think it probably will be [him]”, the Labor Day actress said when she was interviewed by the BBC at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards on Sunday. But it wasn’t him that was making me kinda nervous – I was feeling this emotion because there’s an etiquacy [sic] of, when we’re there, that you pass that s**t Leo!
And DiCaprio’s SAG win makes him the clear favorite to also win his first Oscar.
Any embarrassment was soon forgotten with Orange Is The New Black picking up the outstanding performance by an ensemble cast in a comedy series.
Amy Poehler and Tina Fey introduced the comedic actress and poked fun at Leonardo while doing so.
Tremblay is becoming a notorious crowd-pleaser, as evidenced by his charismatic acceptance of a Critic’s Choice Award for Best Young Actor earlier this month. So you slept in a horse and ate bison liver, big whoop.
