Samsung Galaxy S7 event set for February 21
At the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Barcelona, we can expect the latest Galaxy premium flagship phone, the Galaxy S7, together with the Galaxy S7 edge. Are you excited for the next S7? Sunday, February 21. What’s the closest year that February 21 falls on a Sunday?
AndroidPolice reported that, Samsung has had its own dedicated Unpacked events in recent years to talk about its new flagship phones, but this year it’s doing the deed at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Three weeks left to Galaxy S7 launch date!
Elsewhere, 4GB of RAM and both the Snapdragon 820 and the Exynos 8890 chips are mentioned in relation to the device, confirming numerous expectations of analysts and industry critics. According to VentureBeat, it will not be too different from the Samsung Galaxy S6 series. It’s possible that virtual reality will be incorporated somehow in the launch or that Samsung is preparing an announcement on this front.
There were rumors that Samsung would release the Galaxy S7 early – indeed, previous year the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge hit the stores nearly a month later than the rumored March 11 release of the S7. This feature was a part of the Samsung Galaxy S5, but was surprisingly absent from the S6.
Google’s latest version of its popular mobile operating system, the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, its finally making its way to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 may also include USB Type-C support and microSD card support, Forbes’ contributor Ian Morris predicts.
This upcoming device will probably have a 6inch display but instead of a full HD resolution, it will sport a 2K screen resolution with 2560×1440 pixels. Rumors suggest that Samsung will offer a 12MP Rear Camera on the Galaxy S7, a downgrade from the 16MP on the Galaxy S6, megapixel-wise. This sees Samsung tackle the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus head on while the Galaxies’ significantly smaller bezels should [be] better for one handed use than the iPhone. We still don’t know much about the tablets other than their existence, model numbers and the screen size of each one, but we can make a few guesses about them based on that data.
