Bernie Sanders’ Doctor Says He’s in “Very Good Health'”

According to the Guardian, the president recently praised Hillary Clinton’s pedigree as an experienced candidate in an interview while noting that Sanders had the “luxury of being a complete long shot” and was a “bright, shiny object” in need of some more scrutiny.

Later on Wednesday, Sanders’ campaign criticized Clinton for staying silent when Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley previously called for more debates, saying that Clinton only cares now because she has fallen in the polls.

Sanders’ campaign also responded to a new Clinton campaign ad airing in Iowa attacking his Medicare-for-all proposal.

Presidential candidates often release such statements to assure voters that they are fit for the presidency. If the Clinton campaign agrees to his proposed schedule, the Sanders campaign will support next Thursday’s possible debate. The campaign also stipulated that none be held on a Friday, Saturday or holiday weekend, when the number of potential viewers typically dips.

The activist and actress appeared at a Bernie Sanders rally in Iowa, where she slammed the Democrat for supporting the Iraq war and “equivocating” on same-sex marriage.

Among likely Democratic primary voters in South Carolina, Clinton leads with more than double Sanders’ numbers.

Depending on which poll you consult, Sanders is ahead by several points or Clinton has a small edge.

Weaver’s statement cited Sanders’ “momentum” as the reason why Clinton is supporting the unsanctioned debate.

What is playing out in public is a high-stakes negotiation between the Clinton and Sanders campaign. If the Clinton campaign would commit to that schedule, he said, they would ask the Democratic National Committee to arrange a debate in New Hampshire on February 4. Sanders put his position on record in 2009.

Leaders of the powerful Culinary Workers Union in Las Vegas – which remains neutral in the race – condemned Sanders’ campaign staffers who falsely claimed an affiliation with the union as a way to gain access to its members at casino employee dining rooms.

“I want to be treated with dignity and respect, and I want other people to be treated with dignity and respect”, he said. “He’s the only one who hasn’t taken super PAC money, isn’t connected to all the corporations, to Wall Street, and I think that’s what this country needs”.
