Street Fighter 5 Story Details and Modes Revealed
More modes and features will be added to the game for free post-launch.
You can check out the trailer that covers each mode via the Street Fighter YouTube account. The game will feature Tutorial, Story, Survival, Training and Network modes. We’re unsure if these are from Character Story Mode or not.
Next up is the Story Mode which follows the story of all characters on the roster, that includes both old as well as new characters introduced in Street Fighter 5.
Another mode is Survival Mode which task players will seeing how many opponents they can defeat under a set of restrictions.
Highly accessible new battle mechanics, which revolve around the V-Gauge and EX Gauge, provide an unprecedented layer of strategy and depth to the franchise that all players can enjoy. Use this robust Training Mode to practice to your heart’s content. And take advantage of handy shortcut commands. That’s right, you can have the AI perform certain actions or even assign specific reset conditions to positions on the Touchpad.
This weekend saw the last (I think!) of the game’s many network-testing betas – which means that we should have a game that actually works online when it’s released. Players can wait for matches on the Menu screen or in Training Mode and Story Mode. You can play in online ranked matches to move up the stats and potentially become the best in the world, or you can settle for playing casually and just for fun. To boot, they’ve also crafted one last trailer showing off all the ways to play. Street Fighter V is out for PlayStation 4 and PC on February 16. Search for specific players with rival search.
The next generation Street Fighter experience will offer cross-platform play that will unite fans into a centralized player base for the first time ever.
