Lauren Graham confirms in tweet ‘Gilmore Girls’ return
And just this morning, we shared the news that Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos had nearly certainly accidentally confirmed the revival, though he stopped just short of giving the official greenlight. Netflix says “Gilmore Girls” will be revived with the show’s original stars, Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai Gilmore and Bledel, who plays her daughter Rory. The Gilmore Girls quartet is returning intact, with Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop signed to reprise their roles as Like and Emily alongside Bledel and Graham.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, however, a title for the revival has not yet been determined, as well as an episode count.
And the following tweet from Lauren Graham confirming the news Lorelai will be back and thus resulting in the shedding of tears from the eyes of fans across the world.
Netflix’s “Gilmore Girls” revival hails from Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. Variety reports Netflix is calling it “the final season” so we will have to mourn it’s loss once again after we get these new episodes. In the attached pic, she was holding a garment that partly showed the words Property of Gilmore Girls Costume Department. Yet nothing new has been heard about Gilmore Girls’ supposed return… until now. So does that mean we’re going to be getting more than the four rumored episodes? Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel will be returning to write and direct the show’s four-part return. Aside from the present-day setting, no story details have been revealed quite yet, although we did get some more interesting tidbits from TV Line. The only thing unclear at this point is if Melissa McCarthy will comeback or not.
Graham also expressed her excitement to do tapings for the show noting that she has checked her scripts right away when she received them.
